I
Vidi Aquam sono una storica formazione dark wave di Milano attiva
dal 1994, e dopo vari cambi di line-up, dal 2006 la band è stabilmente
composta dal suo fondatore Nikita (voce, synth, programming),
Daniele Viola (dal 1998: chitarra, programming, voce) e Fabio
Degiorgi (dal 2001: basso, programming). Il loro ultimo CD "The
World Dies", uscito nel 2010 per Rosa Selvaggia Obscure Label
...e masterizzato da Frédéric Chaplain della Prikosnovenie,
è stato ben recensito dalla stampa alternativa europea (Gran
Bretagna, Spagna, Francia, Germania, Olanda, Malta, Svizzera
e Italia).
Negli ultimi anni hanno calcato i palchi di varie parti d’Italia,
Germania, Svizzera, Malta, ed hanno suonato insieme a nomi storici
della scena come Peter Hook & The Light, Faith and The Muse,
Norma Loy e Stalingrad.
Sono stati citati nei vari libri sulla dark wave di Mick Mercer
("Music To Die For", "21st Century Goth"), ed inoltre in "Il
Dark: guida alla musica oscura" di Ivano Galletta e "The Goth
Bible" di Nancy Kilpatrick. Nel 2007 hanno partecipato al CD
“21 Dirty RMXs” dei leggendari Dirty Actions (una delle prime
formazioni punk italiane), con una versione remix de “Il museo
di Lombroso”.
Hanno pure all'attivo vari mini-album e promo, una raccolta
e una decina di compilation, tra le quali "Lunar Sea" dell'americana
Shinto Records.
Nell'Ottobre 2012 è uscito un CD live per la label svizzera
SDN.
Nella primavera/estate de 2013 invece uscirà un nuovo album
in studio: "Fog Vision".

BIOGRAPHY
Vidi Aquam are a veteran dark-wave band from Milan active
since 1994 and, after few line-up changes, since 2006 the
band features founder Nikita (voice, synth and programming),
Daniele Viola (since 1998: guitar, programming and voice)
and Fabio Degiorgi (since 2001: bass and programming) Their
latest issue, the CD “The World Dies”, has been released on
2010 by Rosa Selvaggia Obscure Label and mastering was made
by Frédéric Chaplain from Prikosnovenie; it has been positively
reviewed from the European alternative press (Great Britain,
Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Malta, Switzerland and Italy).
During the last years the band has played live in different
cities from Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Malta, together
with historical names from the scene as Peter Hook & The Light,
Faith and The Muse, Norma Loy and Stalingrad. They have been
quoted in various books about dark wave by Mick Mercer ("Music
To Die For", "21st Century Goth"), and also "Il Dark: guida
alla musica oscura" by Ivano Galletta and "The Goth Bible"
by Nancy Kilpatrick. On 2007 they featured in the CD “21 Dirty
RMXs” from legendary Dirty Actions (one of the earliest Italian
punk bands) with a remixed version of “Il museo di Lombroso”.
Their discography features also some mini-album, promo tapes
and cds, a collection of rarities and the participation to
some 10 compilations, including “Lunar Sea” from American
label Shinto Records.
In October 2012 was released a live CD for the label Swiss
SDN. In the spring / summer of 2013 will be released a new
studio album, "Vision Fog.
